Seoul Digital Foundation, 'Meta Bus Seoul' The core of ethics is responsibility, safety, transparency, protection

The Seoul Digital Foundation (Chairman Kang Yo-sik) will promote the construction of 'Meta Bus Seoul', a virtual space based on the actual Seoul city by 2026. To this end, the company plans to focus on establishing a user-centered meta-bus ethical guideline that can be used by citizens and companies.

The Seoul Digital Foundation and GDNET Korea held the 2nd Smarty City Seoul Forum 'Meutest Ethics Ethics and Response Forum' at the Seoul Smart City Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of 11th.

At the forum, the Seoul Digital Foundation's intermediate process of 'Meta Bus Seoul Ethics Principles' was published. Following this study, four advisory committee members were commissioned and lectures and discussions related to methus ethics were followed.

Advisory members were appointed by Lee Seung-hwan, professor of law at Daegu University, Kim Hyun-kyung, Professor of IT Policy, Seoul Science and Technology, Bang Jun-sung, Senior Researcher and U. They presented meta ethics by law, policy, AI, and game sectors.

Kang Yo-sik, chairman of the Seoul Digital Foundation, said in a greeting, Every time a new technology comes out, ethical issues are followed. Social discussions such as new issues such as digital sex crimes and law enactment are needed., I plan to lead the guidelines.

** ■ 'Meta Bus Seoul' completed in 2026... 'Meta Bus Ethics Principle' for sound use

Lee Ji-young, the Seoul Digital Foundation's Meta Bus Team, introduced the research process of 'Metavus Seoul Ethics Principles'. The Seoul Digital Foundation plans to build a virtual space 'Meta Bus Seoul' based on the actual Seoul city by 2026.

The Seoul Digital Foundation is establishing a 'methus ethical guideline' for the culture of utilizing a healthy methabus platform. To date, we have prepared the three basic principles of respect, publicity of society, and real connections, accountability, safety, transparency, and four key requirements.

The senior pointed out that the ethical gap is created in the period of the 4th Industrial Revolution, where the existing ethical consciousness cannot keep up with the rapid speed of digital social change. We will establish a guideline for user-oriented meta buses that can be used by citizens and companies. I explained.

■ Metabus is related to almost all legislation... Self-regulation important

Lee Seung-hwan, a professor of law at Daegu University, who was in charge of legal advice, said, Metavus is related to almost all legislation in the real world, including intellectual property, personal information protection law, civil law, criminal law, and financial law. In particular, he pointed out that social interest in criminal law and intellectual rejoicing is great.

Recently, methuses have been discussed with sexual harassment and sexual harassment between avatars. Professor Lee said, It is likely to be unlikely to be punished in the current legal system.

He then emphasized that the basic laws related to methuses are required within the current law, but self-regulation is important. He suggested that the law can draw a big picture, and platform operators can meet to discuss ethics, and mutually monitor them.

■ Intellectual Property Protection VS Industry Development Balance Points to Consider

Seoul

Kim Hyun-kyung, a professor of IT Policy Graduate School of IT Policy, focused on the intellectual property issues raised in the methus.

He explained the trademark debate and cited 10 Metabus trademarks recently filed by McDonald's. Professor Kim said, If the trademark is registered, all related to McDonald's in the methus must be allowed to be licensed. I do it figuratively.

We need to think about the balance of intellectual property rights and industrial development, he said. It is concerned that the expansion of registered trademarks in the Meta Bus will suppress the use of trademarks in virtual space, and it is possible to suppress industries such as methus and NFT.

■ 'Programable Ethics' needs to be applied

Professor Bang Joon-sung, an advisor to the AI field, stressed that it should be automatically thankful to the methus ethics. As you can't monitor the swear words of many internet chat rooms, you can't control everything that happens in methuses.

If you apply the meta bus ethics to the program, you can see the caution of the unethical behavior in the methus, as in the chat room swear words. Professor Bang said in this way, when he applied ethical standards to Avatar's behavior in methuses, he said, You must understand the meaning of behavior according to context and situation.

He also emphasized that when preparing methus ethics standards, he should consider diversity, inclusiveness and accessibility. It is pointed out that they should be able to work freely in methuses regardless of physical characteristics and socioeconomic location.

■ The premise of self-regulation should be based on 'trust'

The professor of the Graduate School of National Policy at Chungnam National University, who was in charge of the game sector, showed that self-regulation according to ethical standards is important as it cannot be forced to enforce all problems by law. He stressed that there must be 'trust' between methus users for self-regulation.

For example, there is a voice among game users that the law should be regulated by the law of 'probability-type item' (the item is random like a 'draw'). Professor Bae said, Even if game equipment is autonomous, the law continues because there is no trust from users.

Professor Bae added that when establishing a meta-bus ethical guideline, there is enough discussion, modification, and continuous monitoring that citizens and experts participate.

Smart City Seoul Forum is a place for networking between stakeholders, such as citizens, employees and experts in the field of smart city, digital technology, and will be held regularly on different topics such as AI, meta bus, and digital inclusion.
