Elden Ring Speedrun record broken again with a new run under 40 minutes
In the last few days, almost every day new Elden Ring Speedrun records were set up, but now it seems that these records were broken daily, as Speedrunner reaches incredible final times for FROMSoftwares Newest Soulslike.
The latest record-breaking completion comes from "Distortion2", which has completed Elden Ring in rapidly fast 39 minutes and 38 seconds. Of course, this run uses a number of jumps and does not involve killing all bosses, as this would probably take more than an hour al1. However, we would not be surprised if someone proves us the opposite in the coming weeks.
The run came almost directly in the middle of a 13-hour stream, in which Distortion2 tested new strategies and paths for a Speedrun and finally landed this conclusion in less than 40 minutes. Previously, the best possible time had completed Distortion2, with 40 minutes and 43 seconds a whole minute slower.
Distortion2 is an enthusiastic Speedrunner, currently providing the first place for both unrestricted and limited all-bosses Run in Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (according to Speedrun.com).
But besides fromSoftware games, he also has adopted Deathloop, the Resident Evil series, Doom Eternal, Shadow of the Colossus and more. And Distortion2 is most likely not stop here. But while working out new strategies, you can see below in less than 40 minutes, as your complete Elden Ring is clear.
Since Elden Ring has been in the wild for more than two weeks now, it seems that we could see that this completion time is only shorter with each day. While a 40-minute Elden Ring Completion may sound crazy, the craziest speedruns will probably still come.
