Nintendo has no plans to offer classic content beyond switch online

Now that the date was confirmed at which the digital stores of the Wii U and 3DS will come to an end, Nintendo also took the opportunity to reveal that, beyond what it offers Nintendo Switch Online, There will be no other method by which users can acquire classic content.

As part of a FAQ shared at the official site of Nintendo , the company revealed that after the close of the previously mentioned digital stores, it will be impossible to buy many classic games in any other way. However, the Japanese firm has faith that the service of Nintendo Switch Online will be sufficient since it has more than 130 classic titles, in addition to all those who will arrive in the future.

According to Nintendo , they consider that this is an effective method of providing classic content with ease for all its players and reiterated that, at the moment, they do not plan to offer all this content in any other way. That is, do not expect several classics from the Wii U or 3DS to suddenly go natively for the switch .
