Dying Light 2: Stay Human goes another way, because you will not find any firearms here.
Where are the pistols and rifles?
Why you neither find the classic firearms nor ammunition in Villedor has a good reason. He is explained in the side quest the history lesson . In a school in Alt-Villedor you will receive the order to light a candle for the victims of March massacre.
In doing so, you learn that the military has decreased the weapons during the zombie outburst of all civilians to avoid excessive violence in the streets and bunken ammunition for their own purposes. However, when the soldiers could no longer hold their position, they moved back and took their overall arsenal.
So the inhabitants of Villedor had to come up with alternatives with which they can hold back the undead.
The bangstock
There is still a kind of classic firearm. With the craft masters in the world you can acquire the recipe for the bright stick, an improvised pistol. Their production is 100 parts but not exactly cheap.

Bangstocks upgrades

For this purpose, the weapon in the fight causes tidy damage and can easily do special zombies with one to two shots. However, the ammunition is strongly limited. Initially, the bangstock has only two shots. But you can increase the ammunition with upgrades from the usual infected trophies.
Overall, the bangstock is thus effective, but unfortunately a bit awkward. Whether the value is worth your resource you have to decide yourself, but there are still better alternatives.
Bow and crossbow
You really want to rely on lousy fight, then you do not come around arches around. From Level 3 you will find them everywhere in the world and even receives an automatically in the main story.
Alternatively, you can unlock the incredible strong crossbow through the conquest of areas for the Peacekeeper. It even adapts to your level and therefore does not have to be improved permanently.
Both weapons can be used for just a tenth of the brightstock resources with ammunition, with which they can also still trigger elementary effects. More about bows and the crossbow is experiencing our separate article:

Left finger of Glova
If you are currently pulling up the eyebrow: No, that's not a joke, but an Easter Egg. In the game you can find the blueprint for a finger Gun, with which you can easily use your left forefinger as a weapon. The production is not cheap, but at least your finger seems to have more ammunition than the bangstock. Not the most practical weapon, but probably the funniest among the ranged weapons.
The blueprint to the finger Gun can first find after you have completed the mission Transmission . It is located in a puzzle room in the district of Garrison. The solution route has illustrated Youtuber XGarbett well in a video:
